the shelter uses a couple of different vets

adoptable: approx 30
permanent residents: approx 40 considered unadoptable due to age or recurring illness
being fostered: 4
needing surgeries: average about 3 per month for conditions such as tumors, cysts, and bladder stones

adoption data varies month to month as the shelter gets so many requests to take in sick cavies
