- Ben's is Phoebe, a 2yo chocolate, having a little trouble eating (we haven't
found what she likes yet) and Garret's is Ajax, a 3yo albino. I will not
split them up. Ben is going to need monthly lupron shots and possibly a
second surgery to shrink his prostate. We have been operating for 2.5 years taking in exotic pets and finding new homes for the healthy ones. We specialize in the reptile arena, but we help any animal that is in need. We operate out of our home and have established reptile rooms for our shelter. We offer education programs for kids at the YMCA Camp Thunderbird in the Summer using our permanent residents in the program. This sanctuary is a last resort for abused and abandoned miniature pigs. Many of our animals are unadoptable due to past abuse or injuries. We have numerous "special needs" pigs with chronic injuries or medical problems. We offer education assistance, temporary boarding, placements assistance for pet pigs and a volunteer/internship program. Visitors/tours are welcome by appointment. Sanctuary sponsors and sponsors for individual animals are always desperately needed. We are a 501(c)(3), tax exempt, no-kill sanctuary serving all of Virginia and surrounding areas. | This is a shelter strictly for geriatric, abused and terminally ill ferrets. There are always ongoing veterinary bills due to surgery, medical care and medications. All are permanent residents. In need of foster homes experienced in "special needs" ferrets. I will work with anyone willing to help. Wish list: vaccines, ferretvite, baby food, ferret or kitten foods, any kind of small blankets (many of the ferrets are incontinent and require frequent changes) need not be new. |
